Graduate Profiles
Our graduates go on to rewarding and varied careers. Here are some of their stories. Graduate
Master of Environment
"After completing the Master of Environment degree I found many of the skills I had learnt and developed during my research project, such as project and time management, policy analysis, and engagement with academic, industry and government experts, became relevant during graduate interviews and assessment. I referred to my research project during various graduate programs, including the Victorian Public Service graduate program, where I received a position as a graduate project officer role at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), starting in January 2017."
Graduates of the program have extensive engagement with industry, government, and private enterprise. This is achieved through interactive seminars, work-integrated internships, applied research projects with partner organisations, and numerous networking events and opportunities.
Our impact
The OEP is involved in organising a number of sustainability-focused events, including World Environment Day and Science Week, connecting with staff, students, student groups, and external stakeholders, providing a forum to share best practice. Our award ceremonies bring together high achieving students with high-profile donors and OEP Alumni are vocal ambassadors for the program, participating in expo events and webinars and featuring in our marketing material.
We also compile a list of tips from our staff and students about leading sustainable households, workplaces, and communities.
