Master of Environment (Climate Change Stream)
I chose the Master of Environment at Melbourne because: the university has a very good reputation around the world and the high academic quality. Also, because the Master of Environment has Climate Change as a special field of study, and that topic is my main interest.
I was awarded the Australian Development Scholarship because I really want to go back to my country and help with its development, especially in regard to climate change adaptation taking into account that Colombia has been facing many problems with climate change the last years, so we need experts to help the communities and ecosystems to design successful adaptation strategies. My dream job is to be a recognized researcher on adaptation to climate change at any institution (governmental or not governmental).
As well as studying I enjoy walking around the city of Melbourne that is beautiful, clean and secure. It has an old style architecture to appreciate, many museums, cafes, cinemas, galleries and many festivals to enjoy. I also enjoy going to restaurants here because you can find many kind of food from all around the word. Also, I enjoy riding a bicycle or doing exercise because there are many parks in the city and there is always fresh and clean air.
