Applying for Special Consideration
Applications for Special Consideration are made online via the Admin tab in the Student Portal.
Special Consideration is a procedure which allows students to identify personal circumstances outside their control that may have impacted either on their ability to participate in assessment or on their performance in assessment. It is a formal and confidential procedure that is administered according to University rules aimed at providing equity for students across the University. It is important to note that markers are not able to make decisions on eligibility for special consideration. Eligibility is determined by the Melbourne School of Land and Environment's Special Consideration Committee.
